About the cover:The underlying mechanics of antibiotic-induced acute kidney injury. Antibiotics are a wide-spread class of drugs and the principal cause of antibiotics -associated nephropathy varied. Different mechanisms have been identified: a decrease in kidney perfusion pressure, the formation of encounter complex, cytotoxicity, hypersensitivity reactions and crystalline nephropathy. ATN indicates acute tubular necrosis; AIN, acute interstitial nephritis; and AKI, acute kidney injury.
